JULY 2001.
Ajeet and Jayati had come down for a short holiday. Nagpur Summer was in full force. We had heard that Chikhaldara was a hill station about 4 hours plus from Nagpur. Decided to go There for an overnight trip.
Planned a trip via Amaravati.
We had brunch. Proceeded at a leisurely pace with photo halts at liked places . Also on the way what was worth seeing was seen.
Had planned a stay in Government PWD Circuit House at Chiknaldara. Stayed there night of 3rd Jul 01.
On 3 and 4th roamed around and saw as many places as possible.
4th July started back and returned to Nagpur.
Overall good trip. Except that accomodation in Guesr House was bad .Linen dirty . Learnt a lesson.
Unfortinately car diary does not have timings.
Total odometer distance travelled in the whole trip 434 KMs.
OCTOBER 2001
In October Anuj and Prabal had come down.
Told them about Ajeet,Jayati trip to Chikhaldara. Even though it was winter, it was not too severe,so decided to go to Chiknakdara.
The route and all the sctivities were almost the same.
Return on 17 Oct 01. The Route was the same except minor Changes, At a place called Kathiawad, about 55 odd KMs away on Amraveti road had lunch.and went to Chikhaldara.
Anuj put all of us in Satpuda Resort. Location of some of its rooms was most awesome . View from our room was also good.
Sight seeing was very very limitad.Can not remember why.
Slightly longer roue via Paratwada,Chandur bazar, Ridhapur, MH10 & Tivasa was followed.
Unfortunately there are no photos of this trip.
